About this blog:
I've always loved photography even before I knew that's what you called it. For Christmas when I was ten, I received a Canon T50 and a roll of black and white film. Many dozens of rolls of film followed and I haven't been without a camera since. It's not remarkable then, that I take pictures nearly every day, snapshots of this life I love.
My kids are five, three and a half, almost two or thereabouts. Life is busy, photography keeps me sane, motherhood brings things full circle. This blog began as a way to share my photos and hone my photography skills. I soon realized the value in sharing the stories behind the snapshots. Although I don't often blog about the ins and outs of our daily life, I share essays about some of the things that matter most to reflect, to inspire, to not let the days go by unnoticed.

My thoughts on advertising, products, reviews, PR outreach and disclosure:
Advertising: I have none. Any sidebar items, whether they be blog buttons, text links or other mentions are purely at my discretion. If at a future date, through some stroke of luck, someone ever wanted to pay me for sidebar space, well it would clearly be marked as such.
Products: I like them. I like them to be relevant. The only products, contests or giveaways I mention are those that fit squarely with not only my tastes, but within the purview of my reader's tastes.
Reviews: Few and far between. The majority of product, event or experience reviews are a result of my choosing. If thirty other people are receiving the exact same pitch and product, it's probably not going to be worth my time. That said, book reviews are more likely than not to make a mention. Reading is HUGE in our house. Anything related to photography, cameras, photo editing or printing? Well doubly HUGE in our house. ;-)

Disclosure policy:
I will always mention when I receive a product, service or event experience I didn't pay for and the value of said product if it is known. I do not accept paid reviews, but compensation for my time is another matter. In the unlikely event that someone actually wants to pay me to do anything, I will simply state that an honorarium was received if it is nominal compensation or disclose that a business or consulting relationship exists.
